Water outages in Matjhabeng once again─── HEIDRÈ MALGAS 10:16 Wed, 14 Dec 2022
The Welkom-based Matjhabeng Local Municipality in the Free State is experiencing water outages once again. Residents of ward 14, Putswastene in Welkom, took to the streets on Friday last week to express their frustrations.
Matutle Kgojane, communications manager of the municipality, says that residents in Flamingo Park, Dagbreek, and others parts of Welkom have been informed that their communities' water supply has been shut off due to a broken pipe.

“The municipality's water department is working tirelessly to repair the pipe at the traffic circle of Constantia and Buuren Streets,” said Kgojane.
Water will be restored immediately after the repair work, however, no time frame has been given.
