Paschal Ezekwuene Enuna (51) appeared before the Potchefstroom Magistrates' Court on Friday for possession of drugs.
He will be remanded in custody until Wednesday 26 April, for his next court appearance before the same court.
Enuna was arrested last week Thursday during an operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Task Team at his flat in Dassierand, Potchefstroom.
During the search, police allegedly found Kat with an estimated street value of R125 000.
The accused was arrested several times previously for drug-related crimes and was out on R19 000 bail in another case of dealing in drugs at the time of his arrest.
The other three cases are still ongoing.
In addition, investigations revealed that Enuna’s Asylum Permit has expired and will be dealt with in terms of Section 49(1)(b) of the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No. 13 of 2002).
