This year the Bloem Show commences on 27 April 2023 and continues until 6 May 2023, celebrating 140 years since its inception. One of OFM’s Good Morning Breakfast radio presenters and fan-favourite, Shandor Potgieter, will spend seven days, approximately 140 hours, inside the Showhouse on the showgrounds in Bloemfontein, as part of the 140th celebration. Potgieter will broadcast live from the Showhouse on 27 April, 28 April, 1 May, 2 May and 3 May from 06:00 to 09:00 daily.

The Free State police report that their functional units, including police personnel, will display their abilities and capabilities in the fight against crime. Some of their displays which visitors can expect include the Cosmos stall, which will host units such as the Tactical Response Team (TRT), Public Order Policing (POP), K9 Unit, Forensics, Corporate Communications, Accident Unit, Technology Management Services (TMS), Social Crime Prevention, the Hawks, General Detectives and Human Resource Management (HRM). 

Free State people are called to support the event and witness first-hand the capabilities of your Police Service, an opportunity to interact and understand how the South African Police Service operates and renders services to the community.

Bloem Show will provide guests with a great entertainment programme including 22 Agricultural championships, various outdoor exhibitors, tasty food stalls, fun and a new approach towards indoor exhibitions. Indoor exhibitors' categories are eco-friendly, gardens, landscaping solar & water, hi-tec, audio, electronics, cellular & technology, home décor, arts & furniture, outdoor, camping & DIY, clothing, shoes, bags to hair & beauty, cars and car accessories, and also focus on kids, eateries and drinks. There will also be various artists who will be entertaining fans during the 10 days of the event.
