Roaming tankers, flatbed trucks equipped with Jojo tanks will be made available to residents at the specific sites. There will be dedicated water tankers for funerals, old age homes, hospitals and school hostels.

Water points for containers will be available at the Newton Reservoir area, Reservoir Rd, the civic centre and Police stations in Roodepan, Galeshewe, and Phakamile Mabija Street.

Residents are requested to also be on the lookout for vandalism and theft of Jojos. If there is any suspicion, they can report it to the nearest law enforcement agency.

"We urge residents to also make adequate supply provision to carry them through the duration of the interruption," said municipal spokesperson Thoko Riet.

Contact details for the various coordinators will also be shared across all the municipality's platforms.
