The 2023 Netball World Cup, which will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC) from July 28 to August 6, is precisely 50 days away, as of 8 June.

The government organises the 50-day countdown celebration to raise awareness of the approaching #2023 Netball World Cup and to further rally the whole society behind the Spar Proteas.

The 50th Day Countdown event will also provide an opportunity for interaction with the Minister, Deputy Minister, and different MECs with updates regarding their scheduled provincial trophy visits, as well as how previous ones went.

The Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, Mr Zizi Kodwa, will be accompanied by Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu, six provincial MECs of Sport, Arts, and Culture, and Recreation, alongside their HODs.

As provinces get ready to host a variety of public viewing and amusement parks prior to the 2023 Netball World Cup, this event will also provide an update on planned events.

The event will also operate as a warm-up to the Free State Province Netball World Cup 2023 trophy tour, which is set to take place from June 14 to 18 around the province.

The event will feature an assortment of activities and exclusive giveaways to the public from the Netball World Cup.
