Road closures ahead of Currie Cup final in Mangaung─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 11:30 Sat, 24 Jun 2023
Mangaung Metro has warned that all roads around the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein will be closed.
The road closure is due to the Currie Cup final match between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Airlink Pumas taking place this afternoon.
Mangaung spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, said Att Horak Avenue, 1st Avenue, Betogers Avenue, Zola Budd and Kingsway Avenue will be closed until the end of the game.
Members of the public have been requested to use alternative routes for the duration of the closure. Khedama encouraged fans to get to the stadium early due to the crowd which is expected. He also cautioned motorists against illegal parking and mentioned that vehicles parked on pavements and in front of emergency gates will be towed away.
During the period of the game, Mangaung Metro Municipality will be working closely with police to monitor and regulate the smooth flow of traffic.
