Free State-born artist to perform at the Vrystaat Kunstefees─── ZENANDE MPAME 15:28 Fri, 07 Jul 2023
The play ‘Fragmented’ will be showcased at the Vrystaat Kunstefees from 12 July at 11:00, 14 July at 16:00, and 15 July at 17:00. The play can be seen at the Albert Wessels Auditorium, UFS.
It is a one-woman show, which means it only has one actress. It is produced by the Vrystaat Kunstefees.
The lead actress, Jane Mpholo, says: “It follows a journey of a woman who has been through a lot. She has been silenced for the most part of her life and she finally finds her voice.”
Mpholo is excited to be performing at the Kunstefees, as she will make her debut.
The show is directed by Peter Taljaard.
A dialogue session will be held as well after the show, just to gather people’s thoughts on it.
It is rated PG 13 as it focuses on the social ills that plague women in the country.
