Police commissioner to attend funeral of community police forum chairperson─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 09:47 Sat, 08 Jul 2023

The national police commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, will attend the burial of the community police forum chairperson of North West, Dixson Ngamlane, on Saturday.
According to police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, Ngamlane and his wife, Thozama Ngamlane, died on Monday night in a car accident in Fochville, Gauteng. The funeral will be held at Mmabatho Civic Centre. Ngamlane had been chairperson of the provincial community policing board (CPF) since 2016.

Provincial police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone says that before Ngamlane served as chairperson of the CPF, he served as chairperson at Mahikeng police station, where he participated in community policing activities. He was elected chair of the Mahikeng cluster board in 2000.
“The SAPS employees and members of the community will dearly miss this dedicated community builder, who never hesitated to work together with the police and the public alike in the fight against crime. Our hearts and thoughts are with the Ngamlane family as we fondly remember him. We are indeed grateful for all that he did for the service and the community,” says provincial commissioner Lieutenant general Sello Kwena.
