A 41-year-old woman from Meqheleng near Ficksburg in the Free State has been arrested after being found with illegal guns, bullets and vehicles suspected of being used in recent burglaries.
Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring says the Bloemfontein K9 Unit was summoned to a house in Meqheleng, where they found three gas cylinders, a two-way radio, two 9mm firearms and 11 live rounds, balaclavas and gloves. “The team further found a black BMW, a Chevrolet sedan and a white Isuzu bakkie. All the items have been seized as exhibits in the commission of a suspected business burglary in the Free State in June 2023,” Mophiring says.
