A family from Beverly Hills in the Vaal Triangle is appealing for help after drain water has flooded and blocked their street.
The Tsotetsi family is planning a funeral service for this weekend. They claim the local councillor has refused to help unblock the sewerage system.
A concerned resident Anicky Nocuza told OFM News she was shocked when the Emfuleni Local Municipality sent a grader machine, which cannot help solve the problem.
"We've lost hope. I don't think this problem can be fixed before the funeral. This is too much."
The municipality's spokesperson, Makhosonke Sangweni, said he has informed the relevant department following this challenge.
