Police still searching for petrol station gang─── 10:08 Sat, 02 Sep 2023

The search continues for three men who robbed eight filling station convenience stores in Manguang, Free State, in October 2022.
The Provincial Organised Crime Unit in Bloemfontein is asking the public’s help in the hunt for three men who have robbed eight petrol station convenience stores in Manguang.
The three men robbed the stores in October 2022, each time using the same modus operandi. They would walk into the convenience store, with one carrying a bag, pretending to be customers. As soon as all the other customers left the store, the men would approach the cashier and show them what appeared to be a firearm inside the bag. They would then demand the cashier empty the cash register into the bag.
Eight filling station convenience stores were robbed by the trio, with no arrests in the year since. The cases were handed over to the Free State Provincial Organised Crime Unit for further investigation. The unit is asking that anyone who knows the identity and/or whereabouts of the men captured in CCTV footage to contact the police.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Sergeant Themba Galawe of the Free State Provincial Organised Crime Unit on 063 447 8579 or 051 638 6222, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111, leave an anonymous tip on the MySAPS App.
