Four people passed away after a bus and truck collided on the N3 near Montrose towards Van Reenen' Pass.
Four people have passed away following a collision between a truck and bus on the N3 between Harrismith and Van Reenen's Pass in the Free State.
The accident occurred at about 03:40 on Tuesday (12/9). Free State police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring said three people passed away on the scene after the collision near Montrose towards Van Reenen's Pass.
These three include the truck driver and two passengers. Mophiring said another person succumbed to injuries while at the local hospital. Nine other passengers have been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
Mophiring said the cause of the accident is not yet known at this stage and police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
