Tuckshops belonging to foreign nationals are currently being looted in Letsopa near Ottosdal in the North West. At this stage, more than five shops have been looted.
Police were in the morning doing raids on shebeens around the township, and it's alleged that one of the illegal shebeen's stock was confiscated, leading to the community being angry.
There is a heavy police presence and they are monitoring the situation. In certain sections, the roads are barricaded with stones to block police vehicles.
