Bokang Ramalitsi (18) was allegedly last seen with two friends at the Parliament Tavern in central Bloemfontein. His mother Joyce Ramalitsi said he has never gone missing before. He used to go out at night and return in the morning, as teenagers often do.

“The fact that he has been missing for more than six days is not normal behaviour for him. He would not even stay away from home for two days. When I last spoke to him, he told me he was going out because it was a ‘big’ weekend,” she said.

Bokang is a forex trader who quit school in September. “He was planning to enroll in college next year to finish his studies.”

Trading is his passion and his life, said his mom. Although he doesn’t go out much at night, he usually just visits the car wash and a friend’s place before returning home.

Kidnapping suspected

Nothing is missing from his room; his laptop, cell phone, and clothes are all there. She believed it was a kidnapping. “It was all planned because an acquaintance of him was looking for him inside the tavern, and after that, he disappeared.”

Bokang stays in Raceway Park in Bloemfontein. He is 1.4 meters tall, weighs about 61 kg, and has a dark complexion.
