Search intensifies for North West man and elderly woman─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:55 Wed, 11 Jun 2025

North West police and community members have intensified efforts to locate two people who recently went missing.
Kgethoang Makgoba (76), a resident of Chaneng, 25 km north of Rustenburg, was last seen by her niece on Tuesday (3/6).
A coordinated search was launched in and around Phokeng with assistance from the community policing forum. Despite thorough follow-ups on all leads, the search has proven fruitless.
Makgoba was last seen wearing a red dress, a black jersey, and brown shoes. She is described as light in complexion, 1.5 m tall, weighing approximately 60 kg.
She has black eyes, short grey hair, and suffers from high blood pressure, requiring chronic medication, which adds to the urgency of locating her. North West police spokesperson Col. Adéle Myburgh has urged the public to help search for Makgoba.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts may contact investigating officer WO Jairus Khuduge on 078 554 0374 or 063 608 6423, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
