The police in Kimberley have confirmed Amanda Ward, who was allegedly kidnapped on Friday evening (3/10) after a robbery in a house in Beaconsfield is found.
Ward was reunited with her family on Tuesday. The police expressed their appreciation to the community for the assistance that contributed to her safe return.
Ward and her partner were at a residence in the Beaconsfield area around 23:00 on Friday when they were violently attacked by three assailants armed with knives.
Sergeant Merapelo Pilane, police spokesperson, said the suspects overpowered the couple, covered the boyfriend with a blanket, and demanded their belongings.

Moments later, the attackers allegedly ordered Ward to accompany them before fleeing the scene. Her boyfriend sustained stab wounds during the incident and filed a report with the police.
An extensive investigation, led by Detective Warrant Officer Desmond Markgraaff, was launched, with the case initially being handled as attempted murder and kidnapping.
