The Parkweg police is requesting the public’s urgent assistance in locating a 45-year-old businessman from Bloemfontein.

Free State police spokesperson, Lt Col Thabo Covane said Ugwu Kenneth Emeka was reported missing by his wife, Sanele Chiwada, following his disappearance on Monday (13/4).

Emeka was last seen leaving his business premises on Harvey Road, situated in the Bloemfontein CBD, early on Monday morning at approximately 06:30. His intended route included transporting his two children to school in Heidedal and afterwards visiting the SARS offices located on Zastron Street in Wesdene, Bloemfontein.

His wife became concerned when he didn’t return. She attempted to reach him on his cellphone at 10:00, but the call remained unanswered. After that, his car was discovered still parked in its usual spot at his business premises.

At the time of his disappearance, Emeka was dressed in an orange T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. His wife describes him as a private person who doesn’t have many friends, adding that this is the first time he has ever gone missing.

Any member of the public who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Emeka is urged to contact Capt. Moleboheng Suzan Kgwadi on 082 526 2653. Alternatively, tips can be submitted via the MySAPS App, the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111, or at any local police station.
