The newly crowned Miss Mangaung Pre-Teen has begun her reign by focusing on community service and mentorship for young girls in the Free State.

Following her victory in the pageant, Kutloano Qoai is working with the Matsoho a Hlatswana foundation and Kamohau Orphanage initiative. In these roles, she mentors younger girls, providing guidance based on her experiences.

Alongside this mentorship programme, the twelve-year-old and her family participate in a local charity where they deliver donations on weekends.

Her mother, Miriam Qoai, says these projects are the primary focus of her child’s title.

The young titleholder manages these responsibilities through a strict daily schedule. After returning from school and taking a one-hour break, she completes her homework before dedicating time to pageant practice and foundation work.

“It was not easy, she had to study and she was complaining that it was so hard for her,” says Qoai.

The preparation for the competition required practice seven days a week, and she had to balance that with schooling requirements.

Kutloano, who was born in Johannesburg and moved to Bloemfontein in 2019, began her formal training at Yez Models Modelling Agency in January 2025.

Despite the busy preparation phase, she maintained her academic standing at Onze Rust Primary while preparing for the stage.

Her mother recalls the moment the results were announced, describing it as an unexpected achievement given the high level of competition.

Kutloano was confident about the possible outcome, citing her preparation as the reason for her success.

As the new Miss Mangaung Pre-Teen moves forward with her charity work, her family emphasises the importance of parental involvement.

Qoai emphasises the role of the parent to support the child’s specific interests and dreams without personal bias.

“I would like to tell parents they should give their all to support their girls. They need our support to reach their dreams.”

During her reign Kutloano will continue to focus on the two foundations, with the goal of delivering consistent donations and expanding the mentorship outreach within the Mangaung community.
