While the Titans will pose a serious threat, the Knights will take heart from the fact that they finished the 4-Day Domestic Series in fourth, while the side from Pretoria finished as the wooden spooners.

Furthermore, a handful of the squad played in the inaugural Mzansi Super League in November and December last year, and overall they performed admirably for their respective teams.

The captain, Pite van Biljon, as well as Duanne Olivier, Ryan McLaren, Rudi Second and Patrick Kruger, all played in the MSL T20.

Van Biljon and Olivier played for the champions, the Jozi Stars, and the latter, also claimed the most wickets in the tournament.

The Knights captain, Pite van Biljon, told OFM Sport that they want to carry their MSL T20 form into the campaign.

“Personally I have been quite lucky that I have been in good form for some time now, and I scored a good amount of runs in the 4-day competition. I also have a successful MSL T20 tournament and I hope that I can continue with this form going into the one-day cup.

“You never know and the results aren’t guaranteed. You’ve just got to keep your head down and do what we’ve been doing for the whole season.

“Our processes are in place and we are on the right track. Hopefully, we can have a successful white-ball campaign.”

Play at SuperSport Park is scheduled to begin at 10:00 on Sunday morning.
