Destructive Snyman wants more of the same─── MORGAN PIEK 13:44 Thu, 14 May 2020
The 26-year-old batsman, Jacques Snyman, wants to continue next season the same way he finished the past season for the VKB Knights.
Snyman impressed with the willow during the Momentum One-Day Cup and provided a lot of stability to the top order.
The destructive form of the opening batsman was enough to land himself his first full franchise contract.
Snyman told OFM Sport that earning a franchise contract has always been a dream.
“It is definitely honour and privilege for me to be contracted with the Knights for the upcoming season.
“For me, it has always been a big dream to get a franchise contract and especially at the Knights. I can’t wait for the new season to start and help the Knights achieve some success in the new campaign.
“I was fortunate enough to get some game time and showcase my talent last season.
“A lot of credit must go to the coaches Allan Donald, JP Triegaardt and Werner Coetsee, for always allowing me to play with some freedom. That definitely allowed me to be successful and put in some good performances.”
Last season, Snyman batted at an average of 42.5 in the One-Day Cup, with the highest score of 124 off 71 deliveries against the Cape Cobras.
