Lately, Von Berg, has been training at the CSA High-Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria.
The 33-year-old, who was one of the standout performers for the Knights last season, told OFM Sport that he looks forward to linking up with the team again.
“I am still stuck at home, and I will be leaving for Bloemfontein on Sunday. So, I will be joining up with the Knights on Sunday, there we will start training on Monday in small groups.
“I’m not 100% sure how it is going to work, but I have been training on my own doing a bit of running and those kinds of things to try and stay as fit as possible.
“At an older age it is becoming more and more difficult to stay fit and remain motivated, but Pite (van Biljon) and I joke about it quite a lot.
“I am happy to start with the Knights again and find some normality in the whole situation. Three months has been a long time.”
Along with Gerald Coetzee, Raynard van Tonder and Pite van Biljon, Von Berg is one of four Knights named in the national training camp.
