Since 1987, Pakistan has had the best record out of any touring nations in England.

Over the last 33-years, Pakistan has toured England on eight occasions and they have won or drawn no less than six of the Test series’. Of the 29 Tests played they have been victorious 11 times.

Pakistan coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, says the key to success against the English will be to neutralise their in-form pace attack.

“James Anderson and Stuart Broad are experienced campaigners and know how good they are, especially in English conditions with the Duke ball.

“We are aware of that and obviously that is a challenge for you as a team.

“If a bowler is in-form, you can just negotiate him well, and by doing that you can give yourself a chance.

“We are looking to playing them well and working on how they are bowling.

“You always look for good performances against these top performers and we are looking forward to that. If this is one thing we can do better, then we will give ourselves a chance.”

Play at Old Trafford is scheduled to start on Wednesday at noon.
