Although the Knights didn’t claim any silverware during the 2019/20 season, they did manage to reach the Momentum One-Day Cup semi-finals before all domestic cricket was halted.

The award adjudicators will have their hands full as serval of the players impressed during the past season, and the players who excelled include Raynard van Tonder, Wandile Makwetu, Gerald Coetzee, Shaun von Berg and Andries Gous, but to name a few.

During annual Cricket South Africa awards which were also held online, the former SA U19 wicketkeeper, Makwetu, was named as the Domestic Newcomer of the Year.

Last year, Keegan Petersen, who is now at the Dolphins, and Van Tonder were the big winners for the Knights.

The virtual awards will be taking place at 18:00 on 26 August.
