On Wednesday night, Snyman was named as the Knights Momentum One-Day Cup Player of the Year, during the annual awards.

The Knights also revealed that they have successfully signed Behardien on a two-year contract.

Snyman told OFM Sport that receiving an award was the cherry on the cake, and they can learn a lot from the seasoned campaigner, Behardien.

“It’s have always been a dream of mine to play for the Knights, and then to receive an award is just the cherry on the cake.

“Fudgie is definitely going to make a massive difference at the Knights and we can’t wait to have such a senior player in the team.

“We can learn from him, and along with the likes of Pite van Biljon and Shaun von Berg, is going to make a massive difference in the team.

“This will go along with coach Allan Donald’s experience.

“We can learn and pick the brain of one of the best finishers in world cricket.

“So we can’t want for him to link up, and we are also looking forward to the season to start.”

Behardien will link up with the Knights as soon as he has finished up at the County Championship team, Durham, in England.
