Sunrisers collapse to hand RCB the win─── 08:55 Tue, 22 Sep 2020
The Indian Premier League continued on Monday with the Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament’s third game, while was played in Dubai.
The Sunrisers skipper, David Warner, won the toss and sent RCB in to have a bat first.
Two scores of 56 from 42 and 51 from 30 at the hands of Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers respectively led RCB to a score of 163 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Sunrisers chase got off to a shaky start when Warner was run out after facing 6 balls. But, England’s Johnny Bairstow scored 61 before his team collapsed, losing a total of 8 wickets for just 32 runs to hand RCB a 10 run win with 2 balls to spare.
On Tuesday the action moves to Sharjah, with the Rajasthan Royals going up against the Chennai Super Kings. For Chennai is will be their second outing after beating the champions, the Mumbai Indians, by five wickets in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 16:00.
