In less than a week from now, cricket in South Africa will officially get underway with the CSA Domestic 4-Day series starting across the country.
The 2019/20 season was cut short just before the Momentum Cup semi-finals in March.
While the sport was luckily not to be affected too much by the Covid-19 pandemic, the new season is starting a month later than usual.
New VKB Knights all-rounder, Matthew Kleinveldt, told OFM Sport that they can’t wait for the first ball to be bowled.
“We’ve done all that we can now and it’s literally all about getting ourselves on the cricket field and see if the things that we’ve been training during the offseason will come to fruition.
“Other than that, we’re 100% excited, focussed and very determined to get the season started and put some results on the board.”
The Knights will open their campaign at home when they host the Warriors at the Mangaung Oval as of next week Monday.
