The Proteas will go for broke as they have their sights set on a win on Tuesday during the third and final T20 International against England at Newlands in Cape Town.

Despite the T20 match being a dead rubber, the national team wants to start building on their momentum ahead of the next T20 World Cup in India.

The Proteas have taken the series defeat to English on the chin and they realise that it will take some time to get back into the swing of things.

Proteas captain, Quinton de Kock, says that they still want to deliver their best possible performance.

“It was disappointing to lose, but I don’t think we are going to change much.

“We still want to play our best team and we have and still try to win.

“We do want to give guys an opportunity, but we still want to win, just for our own sake.

The skipper added that not having the likes of a David Miller or Andile Phehlukwayo fully fit and available has made it more challenging, but they have to soldier on with the players that they have at their disposal.

“We don’t really have all of the options that we would like. There has been a couple of difficulties, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. We just have to carry on with that we have and hope for the best.”

The third and final T20 International between South Africa and England in the Mother City gets underway at 18:00 on Tuesday evening.
