This is according to the CSA Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith.

The pair are both retired from international cricket, but Smith indicated this morning that both can still be considered.

Smith says that more than just their reputations will be needed to warrant selection.

“As far as I know they are available to be selected, but we would want to see them more.

“It would be based on performances in leagues or in our own domestic competitions. Chris (Morris) is turning out for the Titans.

“It will all be performance-based. Our goal is to put out the best T20 World Cup squad that we can, and we can only judge that on the performances that the people are putting in, and not on past performances.

“The guys will need to get playing, and playing well to even get considered.”

The T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in India in October.
