The VKB Knights will look to continue with their momentum when they face the Lions on Tuesday afternoon in the CSA T20 Challenge being played in Durban.

The Knights recorded their first victory of the tournament on Monday when Migael Pretorius smashed 21 runs in the final over to hand them a three-wicket victory over the Cape Cobras.

The Knights captain, Pite van Biljon, told OFM Sport that they can improve even more.

“The good thing for us is that we are probably only playing at about 50% of what we are capable of.

“There is excitement in our change room and our camp, and there is excitement ahead of the big game against the Lions.

“They are a very good team and hopefully we can use this momentum, use it well and take it into this game and for the rest of the competition.”

The Knights coach, Allan Donald, in his turn expressed his delight about the manner in which his charges managed to bounce back. He emphasised the importance of a positive culture within the camp.

“I am so chuffed for this team right now.

“We had a really good team meeting that was all about the passion, the badge, the culture that we built, the integrity, the selflessness and all of these kind of big words.

“We look at that, what's important for us, what's important for this franchise and how we bounce back. We kept the players emotions out of it because it is not about them.”

Play at Kingsmead is set to get underway at 14:30.
