The Proteas bowling coach, Charl Langeveldt, has high expectations of the Dolphins seamer, Daryn Dupavillon, ahead of today’s 3rd and decisive One-Day International against Pakistan in Centurion on Wednesday.

The Proteas are without the front-line quicks, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi, as the trio have all jetted off to India for the 2021 IPL.

Dupavillon is set for what will be just his second ODI after making his debut against Australia in Potchefstroom last year. In his debut match, Dupavillon claimed one wicket.

Langeveldt says that Dupavillon will have to fill the boots of Nortje in the team.

“He has to be our enforcer. He has to do the job of Anrich Nortje. He bowls quite quick and he is a skiddy bowler.

“He brings something different. He has to be a bit more aggressive, especially in the middle period where we need to take wickets.

“He has been brilliant in the nets and he’s showed a lot of skill.

“He's been running in, bowling quick and that's what we're going to ask of him tomorrow, to be able to be our enforcer.”

Play at SuperSport Park is scheduled to get underway at 10:00.
