West Indies cricket has announced the fans of the reigning T20 world champions will be allowed to attend the matches if they have been fully vaccinated 14 days prior to the match.

“Following the return of fans during the second Test in St Lucia, we are delighted to gradually welcome back fans into the stands at the Grenada National Stadium,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of Cricket West Indies.

“We know they will have a great time watching our World Champions take on our visitors from South Africa.

“This is a step in the right direction, and we again want to thank all the health officials and organisers who made sure all systems are in place to keep everyone safe for what promises to be an exciting series.”

There is no mention of the number of spectators allowed, but during the 2nd and final Test in Saint Lucia, it was a maximum of 400 for each day.

The 1st T20 International on Saturday will begin at 20:00.
