The two teams switch to the shortest format of the game following the drawn One-Day International series.

The Proteas have previously stated that an all-round performance will be required as they continue to build towards the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The Proteas assistant coach, Enoch Nkwe, emphasised the importance of reading the conditions while also sticking to their processes.

“We have that in the back of our minds and it is actually a good challenge for us having played in the West Indies where the conditions reacted differently.

“Now we are in Ireland and it depends on the day and the time of the day as well.

“Mentally and from a skills point of view we just need to adjust to the conditions while still backing our own systems.”

Play at Malahide gets underway at 17:00 on Monday afternoon.
