Northern Cape Cricket are awaiting the green light from Cricket South Africa regarding the opening of the Diamond Oval for next week’s play-offs in the CSA T20 Knockout.

On Monday the government approved the attendance of 2000 vaccinated people for each sporting event.

With the play-offs, seven Division 1 and one Division 2 team will be in action as they stake their claim at the first domestic trophy of the season.

The confirmed that they have to wait for the governing body before allowing fans to attend next week’s knockout matches.

Should the union be given the go ahead of allows fans it will become the first cricket event to welcome supporters back in more than 18 months.

The first quarter-final will be played at 10:00 on Tuesday morning when SWD take on the Titans. 

The other quarter-finals will see the Itec Knights take on Western Province (Tuesday at 14:30), the Dolphins face the Warriors (Wednesday at 10:00), and the Rocks up against the North West Dragons (Wednesday at 14:30).
