The Itec Knights are upbeat heading into Friday afternoon’s CSA T20 Knockout final in Kimberley where they will face the Dolphins.
Rain saved the Knights during Thursday’s semi-final against the North West Dragons when they were in heaps of trouble and under pressure.
There is no doubt that the Knights and the Dolphins are the two form sides in the competition and both have been producing solid cricket.
The 21-year-old seamer, Gerald Coetzee, who scored 29* against the Dragons, told OFM Sport that he expects a thrilling final.
“The team is in a really good space and I don't think that we will look too much into what happened against the Dragons.
“We've been playing really good cricket up until now and I think that we still have all the momentum going into the final.
“Stylistically it will be a great match-up against the Dolphins - they are playing good cricket, and we are playing good cricket.
“Whoever plays the best on the day will take the trophy home.
“I back the boys and I know that we have some good performers in the team. Guys who have been doing really well and guys who will always have the capability of doing well.
“It is going to be super fun - everyone is really excited and I think it's going to be a knockout of a match.”
The final between the Knights and Dolphins is set to get underway at 13:00 this afternoon.
