The team will want to convert their white-ball game to the unlimited format, which has been their best format in recent times.

The Knights have adopted the attitude of approaching unlimited cricket as though it is Test match cricket, and this is a tactic to up the intensity in the format in which they have excelled for the last number of years.

Knights coach, Allan Donald, told OFM Sport that they have to move on from their white-ball heroics and start thinking along the lines of Test cricket.

“Your first Test starts on Friday and the guys will come on Tuesday and start their work and preparation.

“The quicker we get off this high, the better. The quicker we lock into our Test match thinking, our Test match intensity, our Test match processes, the better.

“We are a very good four-day or Test match team.”

The Knights face the Rocks from Friday at the Mangaung Oval. Play is scheduled to get underway at 10:00.

Over at the Wanderers in Johannesburg, the Lions will be up against the North West Dragons. At Newlands in Cape Town, Western Province will face the Dolphins, while at SuperSport Park in Centurion, the Titans lock horns with the Warriors.
