Last week the Tuskers thumped the Easterns Storm in Pietermaritzburg during round one.

The Heat in turn enjoyed a first round bye, but did travel to Johannesburg recently where they played against the Lions in a warm-up game at the Wanderers.

The Heat coach, Mark Charlton, told OFM Sport that they believe they can be competitive.

“The team and I are very excited to welcome the Tuskers to Kimberley.

“I think it's going to be a really tough game. They've got some really explosive and good players.

“We are really looking forward to get going in that competition.

“For me, four-day cricket is always the ultimate and I feel that we've got a really competitive side for the format.”

Tomorrow’s game between the Heat and the Tuskers at the Diamond Oval is set to get underway at 10:00.
