It's all of nothing for the Proteas in "quarter-final"─── MORGAN PIEK 14:53 Fri, 05 Nov 2021
It’s all or nothing on Saturday when the Proteas face England in what is effectively a quarter-final at the ICC T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
For the Proteas it’s a must-win game in order to stand any chance of qualifying or the semi-finals.
A defeat to the English in all likelihood will mean that South Africa gets knocked out, with Australia advancing to the last four.
The Proteas skipper, Temba Bavuma, said a win is a non-negotiable.
“Looking at our expectations as a team, we want to play our best cricket tomorrow.
“We understand with Australia who are number two in our group with their superior run rate, there is not must that we can do from that point of view.
“For us, the first point of call will be to win the game against England.”
Saturday’s crunch match in Sharjah gets underway at 16:00.
