The Dragons scored 169/5 in their allotted 20 overs with the seasoned Heino Kuhn top-scoring with 78.

The Warriors were restricted to 159/9 in their 20 overs, with Lwandiswa Zuma being the pick of the Dragons bowlers with 3/25 in three overs.

The Dragons captain, Nono Pongolo, said they take a lot from the tournament despite missing out on the semi-finals.

“I don’t think a lot of people expected us to make the semi-finals. We thought that we have the team, especially in these conditions. We have a lot of options as a team.

“Unfortunately, one or two games with the bat and one or two games with the ball didn't go according to plan.

“There were a lot of youngsters playing for the first time in a tight competition with a lot of experienced players.

“As a group we feel that we can take a lot of positives going forward.”

The Dolphins claimed the last semi-final spot in the morning game with a 65-run win over Western Province.
