The 50-over tournament is the only one of the white-ball tournaments that isn’t being played in a bio-bubble - it’s a move that the players welcome.

The Dragons were very competitive in both of the T20 tournaments earlier in the season and they want to emulate that form.

The Dragons coach, Craig Alexander, told OFM Sport that they are looking for a quick start.

“It has been a quick turnaround from the T20 bubble into the One-Day Cup, and I think the break we had with the four-day game in the middle of the T20's and now the game against Western Province, did us quite well.

“We had a bit of a break and time to reflect to see what we can improve on before playing against Province. “It's going to be good and we are looking for a decent start.”

Play at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom gets underway at 13:00.
