The destructive left-handed batter played for the Knights earlier in the season during the CSA T20 Knockout that was won by the team from Bloemfontein.

He didn’t play in Sunday’s four-wicket defeat against the Rocks, but could be in action on Tuesday against the Lions.

Rossouw told OFM Sport that Free State cricket is his home.

“Just walking out on the field today (Tuesday) after our team meeting, I got goosebumps again and that is a great sign.

“After playing professional cricket for 15 years, to come back now and get goosebumps out on the field means that I still care.

“If I could contribute on the field with good performances or just in the changing room, I look forward to it regardless of the role that I have to play.”

Wednesday's game between the Knights and Lions at the Mangaung Oval gets underway at 13:00.
