On Sunday, the Heat beat the Limpopo Impalas in a reduced overs match to book their ticket to Pietermaritzburg.

Earlier in the season the Heat won the 4-Day Series for their first silverware in over 20 overs.

The Heat coach, Mark Charlton, told OFM Sport that a double would cap off a great season.

“To be honest we have been a little bit up-and-down in terms of our performances over the last month.

“There have been some really good performances of individual players, but I don't think that we've put it together consistently, however, we have done enough to win most of our games.

“Going into the Pietermaritzburg game, if we can get a couple of players firing, I feel that we have got a good opportunity there.

“That opportunity to win the double would be absolutely massive.”

Friday's final at Pietermaritzburg Oval gets underway at 10:00.
