Muthusamy and Brits named NW Dragons Players of the Year─── MORGAN PIEK 07:47 Tue, 13 Sep 2022
The North West Dragons held their annual players awards for the 2021/22 domestic cricket season. The Proteas duo of Senuran Muthusamy and Tazmin Brits where the big winners on Friday.
The all-rounder, Muthusamy was named as the men’s player of the year, while Brits was named as the women’s player of the year.
Muthusamy also collected the accolade for the Bowler of the Year.
Muthusamy told OFM Sport that it was an honour to be recognized for his contribution.
“It was a solid a first season at the Dragons and it was obviously nice to get a personal accolade.
“It would be awesome to progress this season, especially in white-ball cricket and hopefully we can win a trophy as a team - and we can improve on out red-ball cricket as well.
“We have a few exciting signings that have added great value to our squad, so hopefully we can move forward with that.”
Wesley Marshall was named at the Dragons Batter of the Year, whilst the Players’ Player of the Year went to Heino Kuhn.
