The Knights start their season under pressure to perform as there will be a relegation to Division 2, and as things stand, the team from the Free State are heading down.

The Knights do have a boost with Pite van Biljon being declared fit to play, while they also brought in the services of the big-hitting English cricketer, Josh Cobb.

The Knights' coach, JP Triegaardt, said they embrace the challenge.

"There were some challenges last season where we won a trophy and then still ended last on the log.

"That's the reality, and there is pressure on us, but there is also an opportunity for us.

"Coming into this tournament, there are changes to the team and just the way we engage moving forward, it's pretty exciting and it’s scary at the same time.

"It is challenging and we are looking forward to it."

Play between the Knights and the Warriors at the JB Marks Oval gets under way at 14:30.
