Scoring 165/6 in 19.4 overs the Titans overtook the Dolphins score of 162/3 in their allotted 20 overs. The Dolphins won the toss and chose to bat first and they were off to a good start with Keegan Peterson and Jon-Jon Smuts collectively reaching a century seeing the Dolphins ending their innings on 162/3.

Not only did the Dolphins suffer a four-wicket loss, the sixth over of the Titans’ innings saw Keegan Peterson injured while attempting to save a boundary. It appeared he sustained a serious hamstring injury and will possibly be unable to tour with the Proteas for their three test series in Australia this coming December.

The Titans’ Donovan Ferreira took 40 from just 25 balls which included 3 4’s and 1 6 and a sixth wicket partnership of 63 with Abdu Galiem who finished his game with a total of 32 runs from 22 balls and 5 4’s.

The Titans climbed steadily to victory concluding the game with a 165/6 victory.
