The Titans will be hosting the ITEC Knights in Pretoria in round two of the 4-Day series, and this week will see Elgar come up against Coetzee.

Earlier in the week, the Knights seamer, Coetzee, was named in the Proteas Test squad for the first time.

Elgar, a former Knights opening batter who now plays for the Titans, told OFM Sport that he is looking forward to seeing what Coetzee has to offer with the bat.

"He was obviously called up to the Test side and he is an extremely promising young bowler," said the national captain, who hails from the Free State.

"He brings a lot of pace and passion and he seems like a massive prospect for the future of South African cricket.

"It will be quite exciting to face the man in the next few days. I'm sure he is going to try and impress the Test captain, I guess. Whether I'm facing him or not, I'm sure he is wearing his heart on his sleeve, as he does every game.

"It's going to be a good encounter to see what he brings to the table with regards to the four-day game. I know he had some good starts for the Free State in four-day cricket last season, and his call-up has been something that has been a credit for what he has done so far.

"He is an exciting young bowler that brings a lot of pace, passion and wears his heart on his sleeve. For a young fast bowler, it's a great attribute to have.

"I'm looking forward to my personal experience against him, and I'm sure that the other batters will be excited and await to see what he brings to the game tomorrow."

Play between the Titans and Knights at SuperSport Park gets under way on Thursday morning at 10:00.
