The Capitals are two-from-two in the tournament and are second on the long, while by contrast the Super Kings have won just one of their four previous games are the current wooden-spooners.

The Capitals assistant coach and Proteas legend, Jacques Kallis, said they are close to reaching their best as they go in pursuit of the perfect game.

“We've played some good cricket in the past two games, but we're still some way away from the perfect game,” said the former all-rounder.

“The perfect game doesn't come around often, but when it does, you'll hit your straps. When that is, I suppose we have to wait and see.

“It's a sign of a good team when you're winning convincingly, yet we haven't been at our absolute best, but I hope there are promising times lying ahead.

“They're a good side and there's the rivalry between Pretoria and Johannesburg, but we have to do the basics better than them.

“We're a well-balanced side, so I hope we've got the match-ups to give us the best opportunities of winning.

“It's going to be a tough game, but I'm sure people will enjoy the game.”

Play at the Bullring is set to get underway now at 17:30.
