Josh Little played-and-missed but did manage to get the final ball over, where after, Parnell hobbled back for the second run.

The pair steered the Capitals to a thrilling one-wicket victory, off the last ball.

Rilee Rossouw took 40 runs for the team off 19 balls as he secured three sixes in a row off MI Cape Town’s left-arm Duan Jansen.

On the opposite side, MI Cape Town’s young star, Dewald Brevis, had a good run but was bounced out by Anrich Nortje, who also bowled out Tim David for 2. On the bat, Nortje secured 10 off 5 balls.
