Minty appointed as NW Cricket CEO─── MORGAN PIEK 08:37 Fri, 23 Jun 2023
North West Cricket has appointed Ismail Minty as the union's new CEO.
Minty has been in the role as acting CEO since August last year after coming in to replace HP Prinsloo. This came after the former North West player Prinsloo resigned last year.
Minty has been involved with North West Cricket over the past 20 years in various roles. In 2019 he was appointed as the union's Cricket Service Manager.
Minty said he is grateful to be appointed in the position after two decades of service at the union.
“I have been in the cricket system for a long time, and I am grateful for the confidence that NWC has shown me to lead the team for the future,” said Minty.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be given the opportunity to lead the province’s cricket fraternity in these difficult circumstances and I look forward to making a difference in my new role.”
His appointment will come into effect on 1 July.
