The ITEC Knights will be in action from today when they face the Eastern Cape Iinyathi in East London in Division 2 of the CSA 4-Day Series.

The Knights haven't played since mid-December when they lost by nine wickets to the Eastern Storm in Bloemfontein.

This has put pressure on the Knights as they continue to fight for a home final in the competition as this will go a long way in securing promotion back up to Division 1.

“It was not ideal getting a loss in the last game, but it was nice to get a break afterwards and the boys have gone and taken some time away from the game,” said Botha.

“They've come back refocus and we've had a few good weeks of training leading up to this game.

“We know the importance of the game and we've gone and had a look back at what has worked for us in the previous games we've done well in.

“We're looking forward to the game ahead and doing what we need to do to get things done.”

The Knights will have to make do without three players in Jacques Snyman and Tiaan van Vuuren who are with the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20, while the seasoned spinner, Dane Piedt, is with the Proteas for their two-Test series against the Black Caps in New Zealand.

Play at Buffalo Park is scheduled to get underway at 10:00.
