The North West Dragons will look to build on their momentum when they face the log-leading Warriors on Sunday in the CSA T20 Challenge.

Yesterday, the Dragons beat the Paarl Rocks by seven wickets at the JB Marks Oval to secure their second win of the campaign, but in doing so they kept their playoff hopes alive.

The Warriors, in turn, are unbeaten in the competition and will be even more confident after their 8-wicket win against Western Province.

The leading run-scorer in the competition, Rubin Hermann of the Dragons, told OFM Sport that a win on the weekend would set them up nicely.

“We're coming with some good form, confidence and momentum,” said Hermann.

“Hopefully we can carry the momentum through to the game, put in a good performance and take an away win with us when we return to Potch for the following game on Monday, 1 April.

“We will have a stretch of home games which is quite nice. If we could take an away win, it would be awesome, and set us up nicely for our home games.”

The Dragons are fifth on the log at this point but they are in for a real shout to make the semi-finals, provided they can maintain the bit of momentum they are building.

Sunday’s game at St George’s Park gets under way at 14:00.
